Deregister apartment
Ihre Nebenwohnung können Sie bei der Gemeinde Ihres Haupt- oder Nebenwohnsitzes abmelden. Ihren Wegzug ins Ausland melden Sie bitte Ihrer Hauptwohnsitzgemeinde.
Bei Umzügen innerhalb Deutschlands ist es nicht mehr erforderlich sich abzumelden. Es genügt die Anmeldung bei der Meldebehörde des neuen Wohnortes, die die bisherige Meldebehörde verständigt.
Details
If the main residence is moved abroad, the obligation to deregister, stating the future address (if known), remains as before. Likewise, a secondary residence must be deregistered if it is given up without replacement.
Since 01.11.2015, a housing provider's confirmation of departure must be submitted when deregistering. Please contact your landlord for this purpose.

Die Abmeldung einer Nebenwohnung können Sie per E-Mail an bs-antrag@jena.de beantragen. Die Meldebestätigung wird Ihnen zugesandt.
Folgende eingescannte Unterlagen sind der E-Mail als Anhang beizufügen:
- Formular zur Abmeldung bei der Meldebehörde (siehe Links)
- Personalausweis (beidseitig) und/oder Reisepass
Persönliche Vorsprache
Mit Terminvereinbarung können Sie die Abmeldung der Nebenwohnung sowie die Abmeldung ins Ausland persönlich im Bürgerservice beantragen.

Opening hours
Document issue - without an appointment
Documents that have already been applied for and are now ready for collection (passport, ID card and eID card as well as documents from the driving license authority) can be collected from reception during opening hours without an appointment.
Other requests with an appointment
An appointment must be booked for personal visits for other matters. This can be done online or by telephone.

Please note
On 23.12.2025 the area is only open until 16:00. The area is closed on 02.01.2026. The department cannot be reached by telephone from 4 p.m. on 23.12.2025 and all day on 02.01.2026.
