Apply for Property Access
Most residents would like to be able to drive their car onto their property or properties. If the property borders a public street or a public road, permission from the relevant road authority is often required.

Provisions Regarding the Location of a Property Access Road
If the property is located outside the local thoroughfare designated for access to adjacent properties, the property access road is subject to special use provisions (Sections 18, 22 of the Thuringian Road Act).
If the property is located within the town limits and on a street approved for development, it is usually necessary to modify the public road infrastructure. This is the case because, on the one hand, the curb must be lowered and/or, on the other hand, the existing pavement is not permanently suitable for vehicle traffic in terms of type and thickness.
In all such cases, a permit to construct a property access road must be applied for with the responsible official.
