Collection / raffle
Collections are generally subject to authorization. Organizers that exclusively and directly serve charitable, benevolent or ecclesiastical purposes are permitted to hold raffles in the Free State of Thuringia.

Collection
Anyone who collects donations in cash or in kind or donations of non-cash benefits by direct action from person to person
- on streets or squares,
- in public houses, pubs or other premises accessible to the general public (street collections)
- from house to house
in particular by presenting collection lists (house collections), requires permission to do so.
Tombola
Prize money under € 20,000
If the prize money (= number of tickets x ticket price) does not exceed EUR 20,000, the general permit for the organization of public lotteries and raffles in the Free State of Thuringia applies.
The raffle must be notified. The notification must state
- Organizer
- Place and time of the event
- Person(s) responsible
- Purpose of the raffle
- Game plan, from which the scope of the raffle results and
- the start of the raffle
Prize money over €20,000
A raffle with a prize money of more than EUR 20,000 must be approved.
