If the parents of a child are not married to each other, the mother (unless she is a minor) generally has sole custody.
A mother who is not married to the father of the child can prove sole custody by means of a so-called negative certificate. This confirms that at the time of issuance there are no concordant declarations of custody by the child's parents.
The negative certificate (as proof of sole custody) can be requested from us free of charge.
