Developmental psychology advice for parents of infants and toddlers

Developmental psychology counseling (early childhood counseling) is offered for parents of infants and toddlers aged 0 to 3 years. The service is available to all parents who have questions about their child's development.

Early childhood counseling for parents of infants and toddlers uses video-based methods to help parents better understand their child and deal with them sensitively.

The aim is to strengthen the parent-child bond and overcome any crises.

The following questions can be addressed during the consultation:

  • Is my baby crying too much?
  • Is my child eating enough?
  • How much sleep should I get?
  • Am I doing something wrong?
  • Do I need to give my premature baby extra support?
  • What is the best way to react?
  • Should I be worried; is this normal?
  • Is this already the defiant phase?

The counseling service is free of charge and confidential and is aimed at parents or guardians living in Jena.

Advice is given by appointment. Appointments are best made by telephone or e-mail. The family counseling service offers an open consultation hour on Tuesdays from 08:00 to 10:00, during which counseling is possible without an appointment.

As a rule, the family counseling service is also available from Monday to Thursday between 09:00 and 12:00 on the telephone number 0049 3641 49-2833.

An answering machine is available during consultation hours.
