GDR patient files, inspection
Die Patientenakten aus den ehemaligen staatlichen Polikliniken der DDR - mit Standort Jena - werden vom Fachdienst Gesundheit archiviert. Auf Antrag kann Einsicht hierin gewährt sowie ggf. Kopien ausgehändigt werden.
Details
The medical documentation on examinations and treatments (patient files) which were carried out in the former state polyclinics of the GDR were transferred to the Health Department for safekeeping after reunification. This applies if the location of the polyclinic was in Jena and the files were handed over accordingly.
These documents are archived for 30 years from the beginning of the last entry. Upon request, the Health Department can grant access to existing documents and make copies of them for a fee.
The original files will not be handed over.

Fees are charged on the basis of the Thuringian Administrative Costs Act (ThürVwKostG) in conjunction with the respective administrative cost regulations.
Please note that payments to the Health Department can only be made by EC or credit card.
