Groundwater abstraction, drilling and geothermal energy
Bohrungen, die auf die Bewegung oder die Beschaffenheit des Grundwassers einwirken können, sind mindestens einen Monat vor Beginn der Arbeiten bei der unteren Wasserbehörde anzuzeigen.
Für das Entnehmen, Aufstauen, Absenken und Umleiten von Grundwasser sowie das Einleiten von Stoffen ist darüber hinaus eine wasserrechtliche Erlaubnis erforderlich.
Details
The following measures require a permit or notification (see forms and downloads):
- Drilling of a well, e.g. exploration of the subsoil, construction of measuring points or development as a well.
- Extraction of groundwater, e.g. for garden irrigation, for water-water heat pumps or for production processes.
- Construction water drainage
- Construction of a geothermal energy system (in the case of commercial systems, additional notification required for handling substances hazardous to water, see Downloads)
- Custody of wells
Prohibitions in drinking water protection zones must be observed. If necessary, an exception to the prohibitions is possible on application.
