Health card

The Infection Protection Act (Infektionsschutzgesetz, IfSG) requires instruction by the public health department for persons who

• handle food on a professional basis and come into contact with food during these activities
• work in kitchens and other facilities within the framework of communal catering.

One of the above-mentioned activities may only be taken up for the first time after instruction by the health authority. This activity must be taken up within 3 months after the instruction.

The training sessions are generally organized as group training sessions.

The appointments take place in fixed blocks on Mondays at 10:00 and Thursdays at 16:00.

• Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the appointment.
• The duration of the instruction is approx. 45 min.
• A certificate will be issued immediately after the training.

• valid identity card or passport
• Non-EU citizens: valid work permit
• For persons who have not yet reached the age of 18 or who do not have or do not yet have unlimited legal capacity (minors), a written declaration of consent from the legal guardian(s) is required.
• Persons with insufficient knowledge of German require an interpreter for the translation of the central contents.

Please note that fees can only be paid by EC card or credit card at the Health Department. Cash deposits can only be made via the cash machines in the Citizen Service Department or the Fire Department.
