Einige Eltern brauchen eine Zeit lang intensivere Hilfe bei der Erziehung. Junge Menschen haben das Recht auf Förderung ihrer Entwicklung und Erziehung (§ 1 Sozialgesetzbuch VIII). Die Aufgabe der Erziehung liegt bei den Eltern.
Die Fachkräfte im Allgemeinen Sozialen Dienst unterstützen Eltern dabei, junge Menschen zu erziehen und zu fördern. Dazu wird im Einzelfall eine geeignete Hilfe angeboten.

The social workers mediate Assistance with upbringing or other youth welfare services in accordance with Social Code Book VIII (SGB), if upbringing that is in the best interests of the child or young person is not guaranteed and the assistance is suitable and necessary for their development.
Together with the young people and their families they look for suitable forms of support both as outpatient, day-care or inpatient help.
In the implementation of services and assistance, cooperation with the parents is an important basis for the success of the assistance process.
