Reporting and notification obligations
The health service is the supervisory authority for midwives and obstetric nurses working as freelancers in Jena. The commencement of a freelance activity is to be reported to the health department without delay by submitting
- the state permission to use the occupational title "midwife" or "maternity nurse".
- a current certificate of good conduct of the document type "O
- a current medical certificate of medical fitness
to be displayed. Please use the application form under "Downloads".
Furthermore, participation in partnerships, termination of professional activity as well as changes in the place of activity must be reported immediately.
Knowledge of foreign languages
Under "Downloads" you will find a form for recording foreign language skills of medical professionals. This information is processed within the framework of a health guide for migrants and refugees - created under the auspices of the Commissioner for Migration and Integration of the City of Jena.
