The Jena Music and Art School (MKS Jena) is an extracurricular educational institution and offers lessons in music, dance, drama and art for anyone interested, from babies to senior citizens. Workshops, taster and vacation courses enrich the offer.

From early education onwards, interested people of all ages can learn an instrument at the music and art school, take part in performing and visual arts lessons, take part in one of the numerous ensembles or receive music theory training.
If you would like to get a taste of lessons first, you can try out various courses on the instrument of your choice. An instrument carousel is offered for children between the ages of 5 and 12, where they can get to know the various instruments taught at the music school. Workshops on various musical disciplines and offers during the vacations provide exciting activities for young and old.
