Volunteering - promotion of voluntary activities
The city of Jena also receives an annual grant from the Thuringian Volunteer Foundation, which it distributes to the many different associations, citizens' initiatives and other organizations that are involved in charitable work in Jena upon application with the help of the city's Volunteer Advisory Board.
Applications for project funding to support voluntary work can be submitted until 22.07.2025 using the application form (PDF).

Volunteer advisory board decides on the allocation of funds
In accordance with the allocation principles of the Thuringian Volunteer Foundation, the approved funds serve to promote and honor volunteer work. Based on these principles, the City of Jena's Volunteer Advisory Board decides whether and to what extent the applications submitted will be considered.
