You can contact either the anti-corruption officer, her deputy or the confidential lawyer.
Details
Anti-Corruption Officer
The Anti-Corruption Officer is responsible for the entire area of the Jena City Administration and its own companies. She is the point of contact for concerned citizens and, above all, for the employees of the administration itself.
Contact the anti-corruption officer
If you have any suspicions or other matters of corruption within the city administration of Jena, please only contact the Anti-Corruption Officer, unless you are contacting the police or public prosecutor's office directly.
Counsel of confidence
In addition to the Anti-Corruption Officer and her deputy, a further point of contact has been created.
Contacting the administration directly can sometimes be associated with reservations and concerns, as the person concerned may not be sure that their information will be treated confidentially or may fear that their actions could have a negative impact on their life or work.
However, the information provided by so-called "whistleblowers" is of considerable importance for the investigation of corruption, so that an additional contact point has been set up outside the administration to facilitate and reduce any obstacles - in the form of a so-called lawyer of confidence.
Authorized lawyer (lawyer of confidence)
The lawyer of confidence is a licensed lawyer.
Employees of the city administration, but also citizens, can report suspected cases of corruption to him without running the risk of having to fear professional or personal disadvantages as an informant. The confidential lawyer is bound by professional secrecy and is not authorized to disclose the identity of the whistleblower.
The lawyer receives the information, checks it and forwards it to the responsible office if he considers the facts to be sufficiently substantiated. He does not carry out his own investigations.
Further information can be found in the flyer of the Thuringian Ministry of the Interior and Municipal Affairs (PDF).
