Change of number plate due to loss or theft
Bei Verlust oder Diebstahl von Kennzeichen ist die Umkennzeichnung des Fahrzeuges zwingend notwendig. Einfaches Ersetzen der bisherigen Kennzeichen ist auf Grund der Registrierung des Kennzeichens in verschiedenen Fahndungs- bzw. Sperrregistern nicht möglich.
Grundsätzlich müssen Sie eine Versicherung an Eides statt über den Verlust des Kennzeichens abgeben (§ 5 StVG). Diese Erklärung kann nur persönlich gegenüber dem Aufnehmenden abgegeben werden (§27 ThürVwVfG). Die Abgabe der Versicherung an Eides statt ist gebührenpflichtig.

- Record of the last main inspection - if the first inspection was due within the prescribed period

- If applicable, the transcript of the recording of a criminal complaint with the police

Document Pickup - No Appointment Required
You can pick up documents that you have already applied for and are now ready for pickup (passports, ID cards, eID cards, and documents from the driver’s license office) at the front desk during business hours without an appointment.

The registration authority uses special adhesive seals with special security features for the vehicle documents. This increases the total fees by € 0.30 per adhesive seal used.
