Blind person's allowance - Sensory impairment allowance - Assistance for the blind
Blind, deaf-blind and deaf people can apply for benefits in accordance with the Thuringian Sensory Disability Benefits Act. The prerequisite for the granting of benefits is the notification following the severely disabled assessment procedure.
In contrast to assistance for the blind, sensory impairment allowance is a benefit that is independent of income and assets.
The application can be submitted online via the Thavel portal provided by the Free State of Thuringia. In addition to the online application option, you can of course continue to apply in paper form. You will find the necessary application form -> under Downloads.
