Apply for property access
Most citizens wish to be able to access their property or properties by car. If the property borders on a public road or public path, permission is often required from the relevant road construction authority.

Provisions on the location of a property access road
If the property is located outside the local thoroughfare intended for the development of the adjacent properties, the property access is subject to special use (§§ 18, 22 Thuringian Road Act).
If the property is located within the local area and on a road approved for development, it is usually necessary to modify the public road traffic facilities. This is the case because, on the one hand, the kerb has to be lowered and/or, on the other hand, the type and thickness of the existing paving is not permanently suitable for driving over.
In all these cases, permission to create a driveway must be obtained from the responsible person.
