Special use of the listed types of advertising requires a permit from the Road Administration Department of the Jena Municipal Service.
Posters
The maximum advertising period for posters in the city of Jena is 14 days. It should be noted that advertising may only be started a maximum of 14 days before the start of the event.
Posters must be provided with inspection labels, which are sent to the permit holder with the permit.
To prove the non-profit status of an association, the current notice of exemption from the tax office must be enclosed with the application form.
Kommunalservice Jena is only responsible for processing the application. Everything else, such as the choice of location and installation, is the responsibility of the applicant.
Pole-mounted illuminated advertising
For directional advertising on light poles in the city of Jena, the desired location of the advertising system must be specified when the application is submitted. This will be checked. If the desired location is not available, an alternative location will be proposed.
Procedure/deadlines
Applications for special use must be submitted in good time in accordance with the special use regulations, but at least 14 days before the start of the intended special use.

Special feature for non-profit associations: They receive 30 posters per calendar year for a maximum of 14 days free of charge. Posters in excess of this free quota receive a fee reduction of 50% at the regular rate, i.e. currently €0.60 per piece/day. |

Administrative costs: Administrative costs are charged for the granting of a permit in accordance with the administrative cost statutes of the City of Jena.
