Special use of public areas (roads, paths, squares)
Sondernutzung ist - im Gegensatz zum normalen Gemeingebrauch - eine Nutzung, die das gleiche Recht aller überschreitet. Daher ist sie in der Regel verboten oder bedarf einer Erlaubnis.
Zur Sondernutzung öffentlicher Flächen zählen unter anderem Infostände, Zelte, Werbeaufsteller, Fahrradständer, Straßenfeste und Außengastronomie. Als öffentliche Flächen werden Straßen, Gehwegen, Plätzen und anderen öffentlich Räume bezeichnet.

Difference to special structural use
In the case of special use of public roads, paths and squares, no fixed connections are made to the ground, no pegs are set and the special use is terminated after a certain period of time, i.e. the information tables or advertising boards are removed again, for example.
Special structuraluse includes, for example, measures such as the erection of scaffolding, machinery, equipment, containers, the depositing of building materials, over-voltage with cables, etc.
