Soundproof windows subsidy programme

With the resolution of the Noise Action Plan Jena 2018, the continuation of the noise protection window funding programme was also decided.

The city of Jena supports Passive noise protection measures in existing residential buildings of the following street sections:

• Lutherstraße - between Katharinenstraße and Carl-Zeiß-Platz,
• Magdelstieg/Westbahnhofstraße - between Tatzendpromenade and Schillerstraße,
• Fürstengraben - between Johannisplatz and Löbdergraben,
• Löbdergraben - between Steinweg and Fischergasse,
• Kahlaische Strasse - between Beutenbergstrasse and Rudolstädter Strasse,
• Hermann-Löns-Straße - between Mühlenstraße and Winzerlaer Straße,
• Wöllnitzer Straße/An der Riese (affected by Stadtrodaer Straße),
• Seidelstraße/Jenaplan and
• Winzerlaer Straße - between Rudolstädter Straße and Friedrich-Zucker-Straße.

Up to 75% of the costs for the installation of sound-insulating windows, sound-insulating ventilators and roller shutter boxes are subsidised.

The maximum subsidy per building component is

• for windows 500 €/m² window area,
• for sound insulation ventilators 500 €/piece and
• for roller shutter boxes 350 €/piece.

The prerequisite for a subsidy is that the trigger values of the noise action plan are reached or exceeded, i.e. noise level at the building of 65 dB(A) during the day or 55 dB(A) at night. The noise levels are shown in the noise map. These provide an initial indication of eligibility. Finquiries about the subsidy programme or enquirieswhether your building meets the eligibility criteria, please contact the staff from the Immission Control Team.

The funding programme runs until 31.05.2023.
