Rent campfire pits
Insgesamt stehen in der Stadt Jena drei öffentliche Lagerfeuerstellen zur Verfügung. Diese befinden sich bei der Lobdeburg, am Jägerberg bzw. auf dem Steinkreuz.

What must be observed
- Complete extinguishing of the fire must be ensured under supervision. Extinguishing can be done by water.
- The fire must be supervised by an adult at all times.
- Fire safety regulations must be observed. Only environmentally friendly materials (small amounts of paper, cardboard, commercially available firelighters) are to be used as ignition materials. The use of mineral oil of any kind, such as petrol, spirit, waste oil, etc. is prohibited.
- Wood is provided by the city forest. The wood is natural and has been stored for at least one year.
- Only designated campfire sites are to be used. According to the Thuringian Forest Law § 12, open fires are prohibited in the forest or at a distance of less than 100 m from the forest. Exceptions are the fireplaces erected and approved by the forest authorities.
- The assigned place has to be left cleaned and in a proper condition, any kind of waste has to be removed, only the ashes of the wood can remain in the campfire place.
- It is pointed out that the organizer has to pay for possible damages (fire).
The Thuringian Forestry Office, the Fire Brigade and Disaster Control Office, the Public Order Office as well as the Police Inspectorate of the City of Jena will be informed by the City Forestry Office.
Roasting
Roasting is possible on all sites.
Camping
Camping (up to 3 tents, 2-3 persons each) is only allowed on the Jägerberg.
Cancellation / Not taking place
In case of bad weather no costs will be refunded. If there is a forest fire warning, the campfires will be cancelled and the money will be refunded.
Ablauf/Fristen
Reservation
You can reserve the campfire sites by telephone or e-mail (stating name, address, date of birth, telephone no., date/time).
Confirmation of the reservation
One week before the reserved date you have to confirm it again by phone or e-mail, otherwise the fireplace will be assigned to someone else.
Payment and agreement
Two working days before the fire you have to pay in our office and fill in a written agreement. Payment is always made in cash.
