Details
Anti-Corruption Officer
The responsibility of the Anti-Corruption Officer extends to the entire area of the Jena City Administration and its own enterprises. He is the contact person for concerned citizens and especially for the employees of the administration itself.
Contacting the anti-corruption officer
In case of suspicion or in other matters of corruption within the city administration of Jena, contact the anti-corruption officer exclusively, unless you contact the police or the public prosecutor's office directly.
Confidential lawyer
In addition to the anti-corruption officer, a further contact point has been created.
Contacting the administration directly may sometimes be associated with reservations and concerns, as people may not feel confident that their information will be treated confidentially or may fear that their actions could have an adverse effect on their lives or work.
However, the information provided by so-called "whistleblowers" is of considerable importance for the clarification of corruption, so that in order to facilitate and reduce possible obstacles, a second contact point has been established outside the administration - in the form of a so-called "lawyer of confidence".
Authorised lawyer (lawyer of confidence)
The lawyer of confidence is an accredited lawyer.
Employees of the municipal administration, but also citizens, can report suspected cases of corruption to him, without running the risk of having to fear professional or personal disadvantages as an informant. The lawyer of confidence is bound to secrecy by profession and is not entitled to reveal the identity of the whistleblower.
The lawyer receives the information, examines it and, if he considers the facts to be sufficiently substantiated, forwards it to the competent authority. He shall not carry out his own investigative measures.
