Soundproof windows - apply for funding

The city of Jena promotes passive noise protection measures along particularly busy municipal roads in the city of Jena on existing residential buildings in front of which certain noise levels are exceeded.

Up to 75% of the costs for the installation of soundproof windows, soundproof ventilators and roller shutter boxes are subsidized.

The maximum subsidy per component is

• 500 €/m² window area for windows,
• for sound-insulating ventilators 500 €/unit and
• 350 €/unit for roller shutter boxes.

The prerequisite for funding is that the trigger values of the noise action plan are reached or exceeded, i.e. noise levels at the building of 65 dB(A) during the day or 55 dB(A) at night. The noise levels are shown in the noise map. These provide an initial indication of eligibility for funding.
