Species protection - Display of protected species
Viele Tier- und Pflanzenarten sind durch eine zunehmende Zerstörung ihres Lebensraumes oder durch menschliche Zugriffe in ihrem Bestand gefährdet. Um diese Arten zu schützen, wurden rechtliche Regelungen erlassen, die beim Handel, bei der Haltung und Zucht zu beachten sind.

For the notification of your animals, please use the form Animal Population Notification, which is available for download on this page. You will also find information sheets on selected protected animal species.
If you are unsure whether an animal is a specially protected species and to which protection category it belongs, please contact the lower nature conservation authority. The protection status can also be determined via the WISIA information system of the Federal Agency for Nature Conservation.
Unterlagen
Copies of the documents entitling the holder to ownership of each animal must be submitted with the Animal Ownership Notification form.
