Status query for requested passport, ID card or eID card

View processing status online

You have the option of checking the processing status of your document online.

Furthermore, from your 16th birthday, you will receive a PIN letter from the Bundesdruckerei when your ID card and eID card are ready. When applying for a passport and for an ID card under the age of 16, you have the option of entering an e-mail address for a collection notification.

If you would like to use the online status request service, please ask for the relevant information sheet with your new document number when you apply for your document. Please speak to the Citizens' Service staff about this.
