Register drone and unmanned aerial vehicles
Flying drones and other unmanned aerial devices does not require a permit under certain conditions. The exact conditions are available from the Thuringian State Administration Office can be found.
All flights, including permission-free flights, must be registered at least 3 days before the planned ascents.

Registering a drone flight - required documents
To register a flight with an unmanned remote-controlled flying object (e.g. drone), you must submit the following data in writing in advance:
- Date, time and location of the planned ascent.
- declaration of consent of the land owner
- appropriate liability insurance
Please note that the multicopter (also called a "drone") must have a fireproof sticker with the owner's name and address.
