- Previous number plates, if the vehicle is registered and a number plate of your choice is to be assigned or if the vehicle has foreign number plates.
- Certificates of the still valid main inspection (original)
- Electronic insurance confirmation (eVB, formerly insurance double card)
- SEPA direct debit mandate
- General documents on the vehicle owner (see Downloads)

The registration authority uses special adhesive seals with special security features for the vehicle documents. This increases the total fees by € 0.30 per adhesive seal used.
