Volunteering - promotion of voluntary activities
The city of Jena also receives an annual grant from the Thuringian Volunteer Foundation, which it distributes to the many different associations, citizens' initiatives and other organizations that are involved in charitable work in Jena upon application with the help of the city's Volunteer Advisory Board.
Applications for project funding to support volunteering can be submitted until 31.03.2026 using the application form (PDF).
Young volunteers deserve support
Project applications can be submitted until 29.05.2026 for measures designed to inspire young people in particular to volunteer and actively support generational change within existing structures. A total of 5,000 euros is available for special funding. Further information can be found under the following link.
Details
Volunteer advisory board decides on the allocation of funds
In accordance with the allocation principles of the Thuringian Volunteer Foundation, the approved funds serve to promote and honor volunteer work. Based on these principles, the City of Jena's Volunteer Advisory Board decides whether and to what extent the applications submitted will be considered.
