Apply for funding to implement family support measures

Sponsors, welfare organizations and church organizations can receive support from the City of Jena in implementing family support measures.

State program "Solidarity between the generations" (LSZ)

The funds for the implementation of family-supporting measures are provided by the state program "Solidarisches Zusammenleben der Generationen" (LSZ).

Application

If you would like to implement a family support measure, you will find the relevant application form under -> Forms.

A prerequisite for the municipalities to receive funding is an overall plan of family support measures, services and facilities that meet the needs of families. This includes an inventory and needs assessment for all fields of action in the state program.

The update of the City of Jena's integrated specialist plan was adopted by the Social Committee on 23.09.2025 (25/0606-BV: Update of the integrated specialist plan for the state program "Solidarity between the generations" (LSZ)) and forms the planning basis for the state program.

LSZ guideline of the City of Jena

For the allocation of these resources, the city has drawn up a guideline (LSZ guideline of the city of Jena) and a project application for organizations, welfare associations and church organizations, on the basis of which the application and approval of funds takes place. The LSZ planning advisory board acts as an expert committee. The members of the planning advisory board are

  • the Head of the Department for Social Affairs, Health, Immigration and Climate,
  • representatives of the political groups in the Jena City Council,
  • the Chairperson of the Social Committee,
  • the heads of the specialist departments for health, social affairs, youth welfare and youth and education,
  • Social planning/ LSZ planning,
  • youth welfare planning,
  • elderly care planning,
  • a representative of the Paritätischer Wohlverband (Jena district group),
