Register catering trade
In a nutshell
If you commercially serve drinks or prepared food for consumption on site, then you are operating a restaurant within the meaning of the Thuringian Restaurant Act.
The required trade registration must be made at the latest 4 weeks before opening.
Documents
- identity card or passport with current registration certificate
- for non-EU foreigners: Proof of residence permit
- Extract from the central business register (application when registering a business)
- Certificateof good conduct for submission to a public authority (application to Bürgerservice)
- Certificate in tax matters from the tax office
